Bacterial/viral filters

Borrow and return trough Pharmas enviromental filter

Capnography is a method of analysis carbon dioxide during anaesthesia. However, when breathing gas is sampled for analysis through a sampling tube to the monitor the same amount of gas need to be evacuated from the monitor through the outlet connection. Unfortunately, the return gas from the monitor is usually discharged into the excess (surplus) system and therefore causes an unnecessary enviromental stress. A capnograph monitor normaly requires between 100-200 ml gas per minute, i.e. Between 6.0 - 12.0 litres/hour. An unusually high number of advantages can be gained by using an efficient Bacterial Filter like Bact-Trap to return the sampling gas to the breathing system.
